Flowers Bouquets – Convenience with Un-seen Costs
It is easier than ever to find and purchase flowers bouquets. (Yes, some people search for the term flowers bouquets so I’m using it too so that they will find this post) Practically everywhere you go you can find fresh flowers bouquets. From the local corner store, mom and pop shops, chain convenience stores, the street corner vendor, grocery markets, big retailers, internet and of course we must not forget and support the local florist.
Flowers bouquets have grown in popularity over the years due to the convenience factor. They fit nicely with the entire grab and go desires of consumers. Thanks to the mass merchandisers, the market for pre-made flowers bouquets has blossomed tremendously over the past few years. The increased demand has caused the flower farms to offer new products to retailers, and now you can find them everywhere.
The flower farms or growers have become adept at creating pleasing and fresh flowers bouquets that are shipped in bulk. The flowers bouquets bundled at the flower farm are created to look the same and typically are packaged according to the number of flower stems per bunch. They are sold to retailers based upon the number of stems per bunch.
It is common to find small fresh flowers bouquets containing less than 12 stems, while larger flowers bouquets may contain over 20 stems. The flowers bouquets typically have a theme – whether it be color, flower types, or seasonal. The bouquets of flowers may be mixed and containing a good assortment of blossoms and greens, or they may be a bunch of the same flower.
Pricing of flowers bouquets are offered at retail typically in the range of $5 up to $15. The pricing typically is directly related to the size of the bouquets, i.e. the number of flower stems included in the bouquet. Many times in the larger chain stores they will offer the flowers bouquets of the week on special pricing or sale. They can typically offer the bouquet at a lower price than smaller shops because they sell at higher volumes.
Many times retailers do not take proper care of processing, storing, inspecting, and rotating flowers bouquets. This leads to several very common problems – flower damage, bacterial growth, and fungus. No matter where you may purchase pre-made bouquets, it is very likely that any or all of the problems will be present.
Flowers bouquets are a nice addition to the flower marketplace. They are easy to purchase, convenient, and perfect for the quick splash of color needed in the home or office environment. However, it is very important to use caution and to closely inspect the bouquets before purchasing to make sure that it is a quality product. Even though the first glance may catch your attention and you find the bouquets to be pretty, it’s what is inside the packaging that is even more important. Pre-made bouquets are extremely susceptible to bacterial growth and fungus problems.
